I am getting the above stop trying to boot to xp. I have tried to repair (booting to the cd to repair) but get the same error. I have run diags on the hdd and it seems ok. I have looked at the Microsoft support site and the stop code is not listed for xp, but is listed for w2k. Can not use the same procedure to try to repair because the file you have to modify is different. Does anyone know of a way to repair this? It had been working and stopped.

I'm trying to install Windows XP Home w/ SP1 onto my newly reformatted computer, and after the first part is done, when it is installing devices, i get a stop error 0x00000024 in ntfs.sys, and the computer restarts.
The computer is a 1.7 Ghz Celeron with 512mb PC2700 DDR RAM and a RADEON 64mb DDR graphics card. I tried looking up the srop error but I couldn't find anything on it. Thanks for any suggestions for getting Windows installed.
