(default) REG_SZ value not set
For those who are inexperienced with regedit.exe, many fixes can be
posted as .reg or .inf files. Or we can write one up for you on the
spot.
I like to use .reg files for registry edits because I save all of them
in a LOCAL_MACHINE or a CURRENT_USER folder so that I can reapply them
as needed. They also serve as a template for removal, although this
isn't perfect. One trick I like is to export the key in question, remove
all subkeys that are not part of the tweak, then comment out the default
value (if present) and add a line that changes the default value. This
makes the .reg file self-documenting, since I can change the comments
around and restore the default value.
In short, if nervous about editing the registry, ask for .reg files. You
can always ask if the tweak is available in TweakUI or some other
utility.
