Volume (Wave) keeps turning itself off!

I have started having this weird problem where my "wave" volume keeps
turning itself off (muting). I then have to go into Volume Control and
untick the mute box.

It happens every time I restart my computer. Any ideas? Thanks.

Volume (Wave) keeps turning itself off!

Hello,

I don't know if this applies to your problem, but a friend of mine had the
problem, that his Wave Volume control would always turn very low, after a
reboot. The solution was to start Winamp or Real Player if you have
installed those, and set the Volume with these programs to a normal level.
Then close these programs and everything should be back to normal.

Hope this helps.

Volume (Wave) keeps turning itself off!

michael/dan
this net'r has similar occurrence on very rare
occasions - ie -
when 'using msn explorer' will note
the 'good %time_gen'd%' voice greeting is
missing/chk vol ctl and 'wave/mp3 is muted'
however it so rarely occurs just usually
'clear the mute'
key - media player used sparingly so far
will chk/watch it further
txs - good info/post
