 Saving Windows Media Files?

Just wondering if anyone can help me save streaming Windows Media files?

I can play them, and then I go look for them in my cache and they aren't
there.  I can use both Netscape or IE.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

TM

 Saving Windows Media Files?

Streamed files are not saved to your cache because the data to play the
audio or video is sent a piece at a time only delivering what you need to
view the stream for the next few seconds.  If you want to "capture" these
streams use something like TotalRecorder to capture audio
(http://www.highcriteria.com/).  As for capturing video, I have yet to see
anything that does it well, but check out Camtasia.

1.Saving Windows Media Files from the web

I'm an avid movie fan, and it bugs me that I cannot save movie trailers
provided on web sites in streaming Windows Media format to files on my PC
for later viewing (long after they have been removed from the web).  I don't
want to do anything illegal with them (if there even is such a thing with
just a trailer), I just view them again at a later date!

Can this be done?  Any help would be MOST appreciated!
